SQL Navigator’s dockable windows let you arrange the application work area to suit your way of working. But you don’t have to keep moving windows around every time you change to a different development task. You can use the Screen Layout feature from the View menu to save up to ten different window layouts, and recall them with a couple of mouse-clicks.
SQL Navigator can remember up to ten screen layouts. As you work with SQL Navigator, you will work out the best layouts for the way you work. We recommend setting layout 0 as a general-purpose ‘default’ layout.
The following dockable windows are remembered in layouts:
Workspace window
Output window in dockable mode
Code assistant
Auto describe
Execution status when available
Task manager
Source previewer
To save and swap window layouts
1 From the View menu, choose Screen Layout. Note the list of numbered layouts. The one with the checkmark beside it is the current layout. Any arrangement of dockable windows you make while this layout is selected will automatically be remembered when you switch to a different layout.
2 To save the current layout and switch to a different layout, click another numbered layout in the list.
3 To restore the current layout to the SQL Navigator default, choose Reset Docking.
