Windows Explorer-style display

DB Navigator has an Explorer-style window with two resizable panes.

The left pane displays the tree-structure, and the right pane displays details about the selected node. Click an object in the tree to view its properties.

You can hide the right pane to save screen space or increase the speed of the display.

Additional nodes

The improved DB Navigator tree view now includes nodes for "My Schema," "Other Schemas," and "Current Instance."

Less duplication

Each object is presented in the tree with full details only once.

References to a node from other nodes behave as hyperlinks rather than duplicating all relevant information. To jump to the node that represents the full definition of an object, you can use the Locate in Schema command.

Display and selection options

The list of objects in the right pane is displayed when the selected node in the tree is a container of objects (such as the Tables node under a schema) and it has been expanded.

The list can be displayed as a simple list of names or a detailed multi-column report showing all known properties of the objects.

This list allows for selection of multiple objects for batch operations like Drop, Extract DDL, or Compile.
