In this version of SQL Navigator, the former Single SQL Editor and SQL Script Editor are combined into one great editing tool—the SQL Editor.
The SQL Editor includes the following new features:
Background execution of scripts
Single record (vertical) view of results
Option to recall previously run SQL statements
Support for SQL*Plus commands (CONNECT, DISCONNECT, DESCRIBE, EXECUTE, REMARK)
"Dot" lookup
Hyperlinking
Automatic keyword capitalization (preference setting)
Automatic indentation
Option to browse multiple result sets
Preference for multi-page or combined view of results
Visual indication of each statement’s status using special symbols in the gutter alongside the statement
Ability to sort query results by any column in ascending or descending order without re-running the query
Pop-up calendar for editing date fields
Object viewer and LOB viewer
Support for bind variables
